Instagram Travel Thursday: Fall Fun

Last weekend my daughter and I had the pleasure of joining some folks from GM’s District Drive for a day of apple picking and apple pie baking in New York. I didn’t get a lot of pictures on my Nikon camera – its bulkiness inhibited my apple-picking and flour-dusted surfaces forced me to pack it away while baking pies. But my phone was more manageable and so, Instagram to the rescue!

When I travel, Instagram becomes my scrapbook to the world. Take a photo, add some details, and share. Here are the highlights of our day, Instagram-style.

Many thanks to General Motors and Drive the District, Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm, and The Brooklyn Kitchen.

  1. Thanks for joining us on #IGTravelThursday. Looks like you had a fabulous day! I would love to learn to make apple pies too as I normally just do a quick crumble topped with custard…

  2. That apple pie looks gorgeous! I’ve been thinking of getting a smaller camera to stand in for my DSLR in certain occasions, my iPhone is great most of the time but not when the lighting is bad or when I need to zoom. Thanks for joining in this week!

  3. Apple pie is great and all, but if I were deserted on a tropical island, a box of those cider donuts would be my first choice!
