You’re probably watching Severance, Yellowjackets, and The White Lotus, but the following underrated TV shows have garnered less attention – unjustly! – and may not be on your radar.
Here are 6 series that I’ve watched recently and absolutely loved. I hope you find something new on this list to binge!

Reacher (Prime Video): This action-crime series is one of my new favorites! Jack Reacher (“just Reacher”) is a former Army military police officer turned drifter. But trouble seems to find him and he uses his strength and intellect to put criminals in their place. Alan Ritchson’s portrayal of Reacher is raw and fierce and somehow adorable all at the same time. And he’s pretty easy on the eyes.
Silo (Apple TV+): In a post-apocalyptic future, the surviving civilization lives underground in a Silo. When some of the citizens start to question the rules that are meant to protect them, secrets are uncovered. This series sometimes feels a tad slow, but it’s worth sticking with it, especially if you enjoy dystopian stories.
Paradise (Hulu): This one surprised me at almost every episode with several plot twists and a pretty intriguing story. Without giving away too much, this show feels like The West Wing meets Silo.

The Wheel of Time (Prime Video): This fantasty series features five young people on a journey to discover which of them is the “Dragon Reborn,” a powerful individual prophesied to save the world – or possibly destroy it. The show has a Lord of the Rings feel to it and you really need to pay attention to the complex plot. The acting and characters are stellar and I’m completely hooked.
The Diplomat (Netflix): Keri Russell stars in this political drama about a career diplomat thrust into the high-stakes role of U.S. ambassador to the U.K. I like the character development and pacing of this show – it moves along nicely and is as much about human relationships as it is about international crises.
The Big Door Prize (Apple TV+): When the mysterious “Morpho” machine appears in a small town, it gives out cards promising to reveal a person’s true life potential. As the townfolk navigate the machine’s revelations, the series dives into themes of destiny and self-discovery. I love how this comedy-drama balances science fiction and profound questions with everyday, humorous, human experiences.
Some additional shows I’ve been enjoying lately include: Shrinking, The Mayfair Witches, and Your Honor. What have you been watching lately that you love?
