- Candlelight Concert Series: Classical music is performed in stunning venues illuminated by candlelight.
- Dining in the Dark: A multi-sensory experience where participants savor gourmet food without seeing their meal.
- Squid Game: The Experience: The ultimate test of survival, strategy, and skill as you go head to head with other contestants in a series of challenges.
- We Call It Ballet: Experience ‘Sleeping Beauty’ like never before, as dancers in glow-in-the-dark costumes bring this classic tale to life on stage.
- Lektrik: A lush garden illuminated with breathtaking and larger-than-life lanterns.
- Holiday Train Nights: Model trains glide through a plant-based miniature NYC inside the dazzling Haupt Conservatory at the NY Botanical Gardens. Explore glowing cityscapes and lush gardens and enjoy festive food and drinks.
Many of the experiences are indoor NYC attractions – great for winter visits! But thrill-seekers can take to the skies on a helicopter tour or enjoy a serene brunch cruise on the Hudson River.
Whether you are looking for attractions in NYC this weekend or something in the coming months, Fever has tons of options from family-friendly to kinda naughty!
I might check out the Santa’s Secret Immersive Holiday Experience, where you explore eight living art displays in search of Santa’s vintage speakeasy. Enjoy naughty snow angels, sexy lumberjacks, Christmas cocktails, delicious food and a live five-piece band. The night concludes with an eye-popping variety show with a mix of ballet, burlesque, and jaw-dropping acts in which Santa’s wildest secrets are revealed!
Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares Experience
My daughter and her friends recently experienced Fever’s Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares, an immersive horror-themed experience that blends humor and thrill, inspired by Fallon’s own nightmares.
According to my daughter, the scare attraction was very well put together – once they actually got inside.
Unfortunately, they had a chaotic 2 1/2 hour wait, even though they had tickets for a specific time slot. I don’t think this is typical of Fever events though – I’ve attended Harry Potter’s Forbidden Forest and Stranger Things: The Experience and never had any wait time.
Here’s what my daughter had to say about the experience:
We were put into groups of around 8 people and led into an “elevator” where Jimmy’s voice explained to us that we were entering his nightmares.
We had an actor guide, which was useful because it made sure our group was getting through the haunt at the proper pace. Often in haunts, groups either walk too fast or too slow and end up getting stuck with others, spoiling the scare experience. During Tonightmares, we never once ran into a group ahead or behind us, and we didn’t feel rushed at all.
There are 10 nightmares to walk through plus a bonus room at the end. The experience was short – about 10 minutes – but the rooms were very well done and definitely worth the $45 ticket price.
My favorite was the corn nightmare, with hanging corn, cornstalks and scarecrow actors who stood so still you wondered if they were real or not. There was a lot going on in the room, so you could easily get distracted and caught off guard to be scared.
At the end of the haunt they had a professional photo op which, to my surprise, you were able to download for free. But you can’t take the photo with just your friends, if you were placed in a group with a few strangers in it, they have to be in the photo too. Kind of a bummer, but it’s nice they don’t charge extra for the photo.
