Cobra Kai Filming Locations You Can Visit

By Shannon Entin / 9.11.24

A Cobra Kai filming locations road trip is the perfect adventure for fans of the show! The popular Netflix series has launched a whole new generation of fans while also drawing in their parents who loved the original Karate Kid series of films in the 1980s.

Cobra Kai has that magical formula of young teen actors and modern story lines combined with epic nostalgia and jokes that parents can appreciate. And even better, Cobra Kai stars the original Karate Kid actors – Ralph Macchio and William Zabka (among others).

Season six will be the finale for Cobra Kai and will be released in three parts. Part 1 premiered in July 2024 and Part 2 will drop on November 24. Part 3 will release in 2025. All three parts will consist of five episodes each.

Where is Cobra Kai Filmed?

Cobra Kai was filmed in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas such as Marietta, Conyers, and Decatur.

Follow along below for directions to the Cobra Kai film locations that I visited with my daughter and her friend!

Note: Atlanta traffic is notoriously heavy, so please leave plenty of time to get to each location! You could theoretically visit all these locations in one day, but I suggest taking your time and doing it in two days.

I’ve also got tips for where to stay in the Atlanta area for filming location hunting!

Cobra Kai Filming Locations: Day One

We started our Cobra Kai road trip at the All Valley Sports Arena, 635 Walter Kelley Road, Marietta, Georgia. The building, featured in S1:E10, is part of the Kennesaw State University campus, and we were lucky it was open so we could go in and take some photos!

Next we drove by the LaRusso Home at 130 Woodlawn Drive NE, Marietta.

In Season 2, Episode 5, the gang has a brawl at the mall. This filming took place at the North Dekalb Mall, 2050 Lawrenceville Highway, Decatur. There are a couple stores open at this mall, but it’s mostly desolate and we got to walk through the exact spot where the fight took place.

The comic book store featured in the episode was closed that day.

The country club featured in S1:E2 is the real-life Druid Hills Golf Club located at 740 Clifton Road, Atlanta. It’s a private club and we tried to drive in for a photo, but were denied access. But you can drive by on your way to the next destination.

Next we found Eagle Fang’s dojo at Rose Circle Park – Joseph Lowery Boulevard SW & White Street SW, Atlanta.

West Valley High School was the location of one of the best Cobra Kai episodes: S2: E10 “No Mercy.” Filming took place at Atlanta Technical College, 1560 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta. When you turn off Metropolitan Highway, bear right on Casplan St. and look for Building C on your left.

The building was open to the public and we got some awesome photos recreating the action!

Next it’s on to the Cobra Kai dojo at 2779 Lakewood Avenue SW, Atlanta. It was completely empty, but you can tell from the exterior that this is the place.

In S2:E8 the Cobra Kai teens go roller skating at Cascade Skating Rink, located at 3335 MLK Jr Dr SW, Atlanta. The rink was closed, but we got exterior photos.

West Valley High School was flimed at a different location in Season 1, so check that out at 3201 MLK Jr Dr, Atlanta. You’ll find the playground in front of the building and the soccer field around back – both featured in the series.

Our final stop of the day was Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive, Atlanta. Look for section 25 and see if you can find where they staged Mr. Miyagi’s grave!

Side note: If you are also a fan of Ozark, don’t miss the mausoleum at this same cemetery – it was the filming location for Omar Navarro’s mansion.

Cobra Kai Filming Locations: Day Two

Take a quick drive by LaRusso Auto at 4025 Jonesboro Road, Union City, GA. We didn’t visit this location, but many thanks for Stephen Sweet of Water Tower Tours for the photos!

Everyone has fun at Golf n’ Stuff, aka Fun Spot America at 1675 GA 85, Fayetteville. It was closed the day we visited – no mini golf for us! – but we were able to walk around and take pictures.

Our final Cobra Kai filming location was Costley Mill Park, 2455 Costley Mill Road NE in Conyers, GA. This is where the kids had their canyon party. It’s also a really wonderful park to walk around and explore!

Note: These locations were open and available to visit as of June 2021. Access could change at any time. Please be respectful of private property at all times!

There isn’t a tour you can book – you would need to drive on your own to visit the locations. All the addresses are listed in this post. Enjoy!
